Microsoft Corp Chief Executive Steve Ballmer Left the company’s board.

Ballmer has been at the heart of microsoft for 33 year, but he decided it was time to change.

The 58 years old Executive , was in 1980 the first employee of Microsoft and then, for 25 years, the second strongest man behind Bill Gates, who built the company. Then Ballmer was Microsoft CEO for 13 years.

Steve Ballmer : "Maybe I'm an emblem of an old era, and I have to move on," the 58-year-old Mr. Ballmer says, pausing as his eyes well up. "As much as I love everything about what I'm doing," he says, "the best way for Microsoft to enter a new era is a new leader who will accelerate change."

Also Ballmer has recently bought the Los Angeles Clipper basketball team for $2 billion, and now he plans to Apply most of his attention to that project.
